Stars and Stripes
This was my first ever attempt at fondant. My bow is a little sad but for my first try I am happy with it. This was for a Fourth of July party so I went with red, white, and blue :)
Mini 3 Tiered Cakes
This was a replica of my Aunt's wedding cake for her anniversary.
These two were my second attempt :).
This was my first three-tiered cake. Apparently I am not good at making soccer balls, and it never occurred to me that fondant would have been easier than gel here. Live and learn.
Happy Birthday
Bunny Butt Cupcakes
Funny Easter Treats
I believe I got this idea from the book Hello Cupcake.
I piped the grass with regular frosting (I am somewhat anti-buttercream) and a ZIPLOC BAG! This was before I had discovered decorating bags and the tip that pipes grass, which I now know is much easier.
These cupcakes a silly, easy, and great for kids. To make these cupcakes:
1) Dye some frosting green and use tip #133, or use Hello Cupcake's ziploc method.
2) For the actual "bunny butts" I used a thin layer of chocolate frosting and rolled the cupcake in Oreo crumbs
3) The tails are mini marshmellows, I used a little bit of chocolate frosting to stick them to the bunny
4) The feet are chocolate covered circus peanuts. If you can find white ones that's great and much easier, if you are like me and can only find orange ones you might need to coat them in white chocolate.
5) Stick the feet onto the bunny's butt and let it dry there
6) Finally decorate their little paws, I used a black decorating gel from King Kullen, and Vuela!
Ribbon Cake
If you know how to use fondant this cake is a piece of cake (at least I think I'm funny). This simple cake is quick and easy but will impress all of your guests.
To make this cake:
1) Cover both square layers in separate pieces of fondant
2) Stack the layers, I did not use any support system or board under the smaller square
3) Make the bow loops ahead of time, hopefully I will have a video demonstrating how to make

3) Make the bow loops ahead of time, hopefully I will have a video demonstrating how to make
them up on here soon. I mixed fondant loops with real ribbon to make the bows really pop.
4) Using a gold pearl dust and a stencil I stenciled a simple design on the bottom layer
5) Cut fondant strips for the flat part of the ribbon, I dusted the top one with a pearl dust
6) Pipe a shell pattern around the edges

8) Use a small amount of frosting to attach the real ribbon onto the fondant bow and top with a
flattened ball of fondant, dusted with pearl dust
Buttercream Creations
These were my first works of art with buttercream. I think I'll be sticking with regular frosting, no offense to any buttercream fans
Tye Dye Cupcakes
These are so easy and cute, especially when you don't accidentally melt your frosting :x. :) I saw these on Big Red Kitchen and I had to make them.
To make the cupcake part you:
1) Start with a box of vanilla cake mix
2) Divide the cake mix into three bowls, they do not have to be perfectly equal
3) Using food coloring dye one bowl of cake mix red, one blue, and one yellow
4) Now line your cupcake pan so you can start pouring the colors in
5) Use tablespoons to pour each color into the cupcake liner, let the colors blend
themselves BUT DO NOT MIX THEM!!
6) Now put your cupcakes in the oven and get excited.
The frosting is very similar, using buttercream will be much easier and your colors will come out better, but in my opinion regular frosting tastes much better so that is what I used.
To dye the frosting:
1) Split the frosting into three bowls
2) Using food coloring dye one bowl red, one yellow, and one blue
3) Use tablespoons to put the dyed frosting in a decorating bag switching colors
after each tablespoon, again let the colors blend themselves do not mix them!
4) DECORATE! :) Swirl the frosting on the top of the cupcakes for exciting treats
Now you can try it with those jumbo cupcake molds, add matching tri-color cookies for fun.
